Police searching for owner of hit-and-run vehicle that killed man in San Jacinto

On Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 4:43 AM, officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to a fatal hit and run traffic collision in the city of San Jacinto.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Raymundo Rangel, 33 years of Hemet, was walking southbound on Lyon Av. north of Rojo Ln. when he was struck by an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene. Hemet Station investigations, the Central Homicide Unit, the San Jacinto Police Department traffic team and the coroner’s office responded to the scene.
