TMZ reported that Abrams is scheduled to tape a performance on Friday, which indicates he will be one of the semifinalists selected during tonight's ''American Idol'' episode. Abrams, who has been one of the season's most popular artists, could be eliminated from the show if he is not able to make that performance.
