FPUD board to review second round of bids for sewer pump replacement

The Monday, Feb. 28 Fallbrook Public Utility District board meeting will see the FPUD board consider the second attempt at bids to replace the district’s portable sewage pump.

Two bids were placed before the FPUD board Jan. 24, and one of those did not include all items correctly, so the board approved a re-bid for the replacement pump. FPUD engineering and planning manager Jack Bebee believes that the district will obtain additional bids during its second effort.

“Some didn’t bid because they thought they couldn’t beat one of the other manufacturers,” Bebee said.
