Hernandez wins national cheer competition

FALLBROOK – On Feb. 18 and 19, Lynita Hernandez of Fallbrook, a member of the OC All-Star cheer team, competed at the JAMZ Nationals. The team came away with the first place win and a slot in the US All-Star Federation Worlds competition to be held in Orlando, Fla. in April.

Hernandez began her cheer days at Fallbrook High in 2005 and was also a member of the Palomar College cheer squad. In 2008, Hernandez was crowned “Miss Fallbrook.”

“Making this competition means the world to me because we have worked so hard to make it. Now our dreams are coming true with this amazing opportunity,” said Hernandez.
