Author Jane Smiley to speak at luncheon

FALLBROOK – Fans of famed author Jane Smiley will be delighted to know that she will be the featured speaker at the annual Friends of the Fallbrook Library luncheon on April 5. Smiley, a Pulitzer Prize winner for fiction in 2001 for her book “A Thousand Acres,” will address the group about her experiences and life as a writer.

This event is in conjunction with the Fallbrook Community Read of her latest book, “Private Life,” which is an historical novel that chronicles a couple’s life from the 1880’s through World War II.
