Keep Fallbrook Clean and Green joins forces with Fallbrook Beautification Alliance

FALLBROOK – Keep Fallbrook Clean and Green (KFCG), a volunteer organization dedicated to the environmental health and welfare of the Fallbrook community, will now operate as a committee of the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance (FBA).

Founded in 2002 through the financial support of numerous local organizations and donors, KFCG facilitates a wide variety of clean up and recycling efforts. With an initial $5000 investment by Coldwell Banker, the group started the highly popular community Cleanup/Recycling Day held each September and now participates in many of the county’s environmental programs.

The FBA, also a non-profit volunteer organization, works with community partners to enhance Fallbrook’s visual appeal. The organization, founded in 2005 as a result of a recommendation from the Fallbrook Revitalization Council to improve collaboration between groups and individuals, is dedicated to making and keeping Fallbrook beautiful.

Many of Fallbrook’s beautification projects are initiated and maintained by FBA committees such as the development of the Pico Promenade and local Beech Street Park, the installation of flower pots along Main Avenue, the planting and maintaining of South Mission medians, the maintenance of public art and graffiti and trash clean up. The money utilized to support FBA projects is raised primarily though the annual 4th of July celebration and fireworks display fund raiser held in town.

“Keep Fallbrook Clean & Green is a highly respected organization and the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance is proud to be partnering with them. KFCG and the FBA share the same goals, keeping Fallbrook clean and beautiful, so combining the two organizations and our resources is a win-win for everyone.” announced Jerri Patchett, President and founder of the FBA.

Both organizations share the mission of bringing organizations and people together, and to educate and involve citizens and businesses with program that will promote a healthy and beautiful environment.
