RMWD votes to increase O&M rates

At its February 22 meeting, the board of directors of the Rainbow Municipal Water District (RMWD) voted to increase monthly operating and maintenance (O&M) charges beginning with the April 2011 billing cycle. In addition, the board has set a date for a public hearing to discuss the upgrade charge of $14.79 for funding planning, design, construction and other related costs to bring uncovered drinking water reservoirs.

A public hearing was held at the meeting and individuals were given an opportunity to give input on the proposed rates.
