Save Our Forest celebrates Arbor Day

FALLBROOK – Marking only a few of the thousands of trees planted in the Fallbrook area was the plan for the day on Saturday, March 5. Save Our Forest members and Miss Fallbrook contestants made the task quick and easy.

Arbor Day is celebrated from March 7 to 14 in California, so approximately 350 of the 2,609 trees planted on streets and byways in Fallbrook now wear a green ribbon to highlight the work that Save Our Forest has accomplished in the last 15 years. Thousands more trees and native shrubs have been planted in near by preserves by the Fallbrook Land Conservancy.
