Mr. Evans wishes to lightly dismiss the point that our nation’s founders were Christian as incidental because even a non-Christian populace would have rebelled against King George.
However, the thrust of the point was the difference in the results of rebellion. Anybody can rebel and for any reason. Man has been doing it since day one.
Causes for rebellion are important, yet the results of rebellion are even more important. We enjoy freedoms here today unknown in any history of a non-Christian government, yet history is always in the making. Today we have a great opportunity to observe rebellion taking place in non-Christian nations. The cause for those rebellions is varied and important, but what is more important are the results.
If the non-Christian rebellions’ results produce a better status quo than what we currently enjoy here as Christian results, then I will gladly join Mr. Evans and the hundreds of thousands of others eager to emigrate.
But if it doesn’t, the silence is deafening, and speaks of a nation founded on and guided by Christian principles.
