Warriors win boys lacrosse opener

Fallbrook High School’s boys lacrosse team won its 2011 season opener March 5 at Monte Vista High School.

The Warriors took a 17-10 victory over the Monarchs. “The boys played really well,” said new Fallbrook coach Neil Rodden.

“I was real pleased they played as well as they did.”

Rodden has replaced Paul Morgan, who is now playing college lacrosse at Cal State Fullerton. Morgan and Rodden will work together to develop Fallbrook’s off-season program.

Rodden and his players began practice February 22.

“We had a really short ramp-up period,” he said.
