Lady Warrior softball wins consolation championship

FALLBROOK – The Lady Warriors won the Friar’s Classic Consolation Championship on Saturday, March 19 at San Diego High School.

The girls advanced to the semi-final game by going 3-1 and winning their pool with a total of 46 runs scored in four games.

The semi-final game pitted Fallbrook against the reigning Division IV CIF champions Mater Dei.

Fallbrook achieved a 1-0 lead in the first; added two more in the third inning and another in the fourth. Mater Dei battled back and scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
