March 15 Board of Supervisors meeting adjourned in memory of Dapper and Snider

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors adjourned their March 15 meeting in memory of two former Major League Baseball players who had lived in Fallbrook prior to their deaths.

Supervisor Bill Horn read the adjournments in memory of Cliff Dapper and Edwin “Duke” Snider. Both were born in Los Angeles, played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, moved to Fallbrook in 1956, and raised avocados in Fallbrook. Dapper passed away February 8 at the age of 91, and Snider was 84 when he passed away
