Car burglaries can result in credit, identity crimes

Though it is not always publicized, car burglaries occur with frequency in all communities. When expensive items or personal belongings such as iPods, cell phones, purses and money are left in plain view inside a vehicle, cars become easy targets for burglars to break into.

However, the most problematic complication relating to these incidents involves the theft of debit cards, credit cards and identification, as they have personal information that can be used fraudulently.
