An awful consequence

Camp Pendleton, the huge U.S. Marine base huddling at Fallbrook’s front door, is not directly referred to in a recent, staggering writing by one of nation’s finest journalists.

The writer, George Will, reminds all readers of the events leading up to the Japanese sneak bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941. We were not prepared, but six short months later we all but defeated Japan’s navy in the Battle of Midway. The Pacific war ended with Japan and their island possessions devastated.

Intervention is today discussed by some in Washington to toss out Muammar Gaddafi in Libya.
