Warrior baseball beats Del Norte to open North County Tournament

Fallbrook High School’s baseball team not only improved its season record to 4-2 with the Warriors’ 15-2 victory March 24 at home against Del Norte but also won the opener of Fallbrook’s second tournament of the year.

Rain had postponed prior scheduled North County Tournament games, giving the Nighthawks the distinction of being Fallbrook’s first opponent in that tournament. Nine different Fallbrook players accounted for 16 hits against four Del Norte pitchers while Fallbrook hurler Justin Hukill allowed seven hits and no walks in a complete game.
