In the midst of a field,
Gorgeous wild flowers grow,
Who wave at me as I pass,
Fluttering in the wind to-and-fro.
Cascading down from the mountainside,
Sparkling water flows,
I hear the sound of the waterfall crashing,
Into the lake below.
Beneath my feet, the grass looks so soft,
A place where you can rest,
The perfect picnic area to sit and eat,
Probably the best.
The sky is like a sapphire,
With bits of drifting clouds,
I could gaze for hours,
At the wonders I have found.
As the wind blows,
My hair flies all around,
I smile and I fall laughing,
To the soft, earthen ground.
Small flowers surround me,
Daisies, violets, and more,
Chrysanthemums, roses, and tulips,
Poppies, and lilies, galore.
As I stand, the wind surrounds me,
It lifts me off the ground,
I dance and dance in the wide-open sky,
Until I reach the clouds.
In the sky, I face the land and the brisk wind slows,
I watch as the sun fades away,
Each star pops up one-by-one,
Covering any trace of day.
The moon appears much larger,
When you are in the sky,
Its light beams milky shadows,
Across the darkened night.
I wrap myself in blanket-like clouds,
And lay my tired head down,
Then I fall asleep in this wonderful land,
Guarding my dream I have found.
