Identity of suicide victim released

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's office has released the identity of a man who they say committed suicide at his Fallbrook home on Monday, April 25.

After the body of Ron Evans, 58, was discovered by a friend in his home in the 3100 block of Via Del Cielo that morning, Sheriff's deputies were called and arrived at the scene at about 11:45 a.m.

In an earlier report, Sgt. Joe Montion said deputies found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"That is consistent with what our investigation has concluded," said an investigator with the Medical Examiner's Office today (April 27)....
