Will we ever regain control of our party?

I’ve withheld my letter writing during the past several months, in the hope that my party (the GOP) would somehow restrain the lunatic fringe that has taken over the reins. Unfortunately, it only gets worse!

I listened to President Obama’s speech the other day, and wasn’t necessarily impressed. Not to the point of lending my financial support to the Democrats, certainly. However, I did hear a willingness to “compromise.”

This is more than I have heard from my own party’s leadership. Is “compromise” not a part of our ‘far right’ mantra? What am I supposed to do during the next election? Hold my nose and vote for my party, and for all the things that are wrong about this current inhuman platform, or just not vote at all? It is a dilemma!

I’m not a true Independent because I still believe in the USA-first principles of Lincoln and Eisenhower. I certainly can’t vote Democratic for all the obvious reasons.

Will we middle-of-the-roaders ever again regain control of our party? I sure hope so!
