Fallbrook High School’s boys track and field team traveled to Ramona on March 17 for a dual meet against the defending CIF Division II champions before losing by a 69-67 margin.
“It was extremely competitive,” said Fallbrook head coach Troy Hamlin.
The final event was the triple jump, in which Ramona’s Trevor Dotson set a school record with a distance of 44 feet 9 inches to give Ramona the five first-place points.
Dotson competed in the triple jump shortly after he was part of Ramona’s 4x400 relay team which won the final track race for the Bulldogs.
