Brush fire off De Luz Road now under control

North County Fire reported about 2:15 p.m. today (Friday, May 6) that a brush fire that erupted on Patton Oak Road in Fallbrook is now under control.

The blaze, which has consumed roughly 2-1/2 acres is west of De Luz Road.

"Patton Oak Road is off of the 1000 block of De Luz Road," explained John Buchanan, public information officer for North County Fire.

Buchanan said crews from Camp Pendleton, North County Fire, Cal Fire, the U.S. Forestry Service, Pala, and Rainbow and DeLuz volunteer fire departments responded to the blaze.
