Grand Ole Opry star to appear in Fallbrook

FALLBROOK – Grand Ole Opry star Johnny Counterfit will perform in concert at Fallbrook’s Mission Theatre, 231 N. Main Avenue, on June 4 at 7:30 p.m. with all tickets priced at $20.

Counterfit, a singing impressionist brings to life over 165 voices, made up of Grand Ole Opry stars of the past and present. His impressive repertoire includes such past stars as Johnny Cash, Hank Snow, Ernest Tubb, Marty Robbins, Buck Owens, Slim Whitman, and many more. Present Opry stars include Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, Willy Nelson, Toby Keith and a seemingly endless number, according to booking chairman, Dave Aranda-Richards.

In addition to his country voices, Counterfit includes Jack Benny, George Burns, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and interposes a duet between Archie and Edith Bunker, doing both voices flawlessly. Concertgoers will also hear five presidents and a trio made up of Bill Clinton, Julio Iglesias and Willy Nelson performing “To All The Girls We Loved Before.”

In addition to his scheduled appearances at the “Opry,” he is seen weekly on the RFD Television Network. He has appeared live on every major TV network in the United States and Canada. The White House has hosted two of his concerts.
