Fallbrook High School’s boys track and field team won its first league championship this century.
The Warriors concluded the season with a 5-0 record in Avocado East League dual meets after an April 27 win at San Pasqual and a May 5 home victory against Vista. The league championship is the first for the boys since 1999.
“It was very nice to have it happen,” said Fallbrook head coach Troy Hamlin.
“I thought that we could win our league based on our depth,” Hamlin said. “We have a lot of depth on this team this year, and it showed.”
