Fallbrook Union Elementary and Vallecitos school districts lose superintendents

Fallbrook Union Elementary (FUESD) and Vallecitos School districts are in the process of interviewing candidates to replace their superintendents, both of whom have informed the districts that they will not be serving the Fallbrook and Rainbow communities for the upcoming school year.

“It’s a mixed feeling,” said Dr. Paul A. Cartas, who has served the Rainbow community as Vallecitos superintendent for 21 years. “I have spent a large portion of time committed to Rainbow, and now I am sad to leave the staff and no longer work with the community.”
