Woodies to be featured at annual Car Show

FALLBROOK - The 46th annual Fallbrook Vintage Car Show, which will be held on Sunday, May 29, will feature the cars known as “woodies.” The San Diego and So Cal Regions of the National Woodie Club will bring their land yachts to the show and display them on the grass field at Potter Jr. High School on Reche Road.

Woodies were manufactured in Europe and the United States from the late teens through the mid 1950s. While the European Renaults, Austins and Morris’ are extremely rare in the states, woodies made in Detroit have survived here in great numbers.
