Supervisors approve contract for Bonsall Landfill slope repair and drainage improvements

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 May 25 to approve the advertisement for bid and subsequent award of a contract for slope repair and drainage improvements at the Bonsall Landfill site.

The work on the closed landfill in the 29400 block of Twin Oaks Valley Road will include an upgrade to the drainage system, reconstruction of a portion of the access road, and repairing a slope. The county’s Department of Public Works had budgeted $540,308, which includes a 25 percent contingency reserve, for the work.
