Fallbrook Library wins top industry award

FALLBROOK – The County of San Diego’s new Fallbrook library has won a “Magic of Design-Build” Excellence Award from the Design-Build Institute of America.

The library was honored in the civic category for exemplifying the principles of design-build construction: interdisciplinary teamwork, innovation, and problem solving.

Design-build is an approach to building that puts an entire building project under a single contract. The same contractor or team of contractors is involved in a project from beginning to end, that is, from the design through the final construction.
