Restaurants to compete for 'Best Taste of Fallbrook' July 29

FALLBROOK – When Connections Fallbrook Networking hosts their annual Taste of Fallbrook event on Friday evening, July 29 at Hot Summer Nites, local restaurants will compete to see who can earn the top honor.

Faro Trupiano, owner of Trupiano’s Italian Bistro will be back to defend his “People’s Choice” title after securing the award last year. Trupiano took second place in both 2008 and 2009 and has been enjoying the top designation for the past year. The 2008 top place winner was La Caseta Mexican Food and 2009 honors went to the Sweet Sicilian Bakery.

This year, a new award has been added for “Best Dessert.”

The winner of the Taste of Fallbrook is awarded a food photography session with Carl Kravats, The Delicious Photographer.

The celebrity judge for the event this year is Freddy Keiaho, former linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts. All ticket holders to the Taste of Fallbrook have an opportunity to sample the food provided by restaurants for the competition and cast their vote for their favorite.
