Caltrans' decision regarding the Existing Alternative Route for SR76

Although I’m very disappointed in Caltrans’ recent decision, I’m not surprised. I say this because I feel they structured the DEIR to favor the Existing Alternative Route by inflating the costs and mitigation measures of the Southern

Alternative as compared to those proposed for the Existing Route.

Now that Caltrans has formally announced their decision, I can only hope that they have heard the voices of the thousands of local residents that opposed the Existing Alternative during the DEIR process and that they will attempt to provide mitigation measures for the many reasons these people expre...
