Parents of FUHS field hockey players voice concerns

Lady Warrior field hockey players, along with their parents and supporters, approached the Fallbrook Union High School District (FUHSD) board of trustees at its June 13 board meeting to plead for their field hockey coach’s teaching position.

Kirsten Mueller, a first year physical education teacher, was handed a pink slip along with other teachers as the result of budget cuts for the 2011-2012 academic year. However, the girls’ field hockey budget has not been cut, so Mueller has the option to come onto campus as a stipend coach, teaching only sixth period field hockey.
