Tiebreaker costs Warrior golfers berth in team finals - Jorde, Burley qualify as individuals for second day

The top twelve teams after the first day of the CIF boys golf championship advanced to the second round, and Fallbrook High School’s team was deprived of advancing on the tiebreaker.

Fallbrook and St. Augustine both had team scores of 413 to share 12th place after the May 24 round at the Coronado Golf Club. A high school golf team has six competing golfers in a match and the team score consists of the combined individual scores of the top five golfers, but the score of the sixth golfer is used as the tiebreaking criteria and the Saints had a lower score for their final golfer.
