Club Invention program now at Bonsall Elementary

BONSALL - In partnership with the nonprofit Invent Now organization, Bonsall Education Foundation is pleased to offer the Club Invention program at Bonsall Elementary to children entering grades one through six.

This exciting four-day summer experience immerses children in imaginative play that reinforces and supplements school-year learning through inquiry-based activities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Each day, children rotate through three integrated modules that require creative thinking to solve real-world challenges. Working together, children learn vital 21st Century life skills such as problem solving and teamwork through hands-on learning… disguised as fun.

These exciting activities begin July 11 with the Club Invention REALIZE program. Children will be challenged to brave the fury of the open seas in an effort to locate hidden Viking treasure in the Viking Treasure Trek: The Quest Begins' module, build a land sled using recyclable materials to race in an extreme obstacle course in the Land Sled X-Treme' module, and shake up old playground favorites by combining physical activity and creativity to give traditional games a modern twist in the Recess Remix' module.

Local educators will facilitate the program modules, and enthusiastic high school and college students will serve as program counselors. The registration fee ($119 plus $30 materials fee) includes a Club Invention T-shirt. Spots are limited. Call (800) 968-4332 for more information.
