Del Mar resort renovated

Col. Nicholas F. Marano, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton commanding officer, Maj. Gen. Anthony L. Jackson, Marine Corps Installations West commanding general, and Lane H. Jones, Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Marine Corps Community Services, participate in the Del Mar Beach Resort ribbon cutting ceremony at Camp Pendleton, June 10. During a speech Marano spoke highly of the newly renovated, 21 Area beach cottages that are available for active duty military, retired servicemembers, and Department of Defense employees. After the initial ceremony and speeches, guests toured the villa interiors, including fully equipped kitchens, walled-in patios, and brand new furniture. Guests were also able to enjoy food and music after the ceremony.
