Berneice H. Dean, 96, passed away due to a heart attack on June 18, 2011 at Fallbrook Hospital in Fallbrook, Calif. She was born on January 6, 1915 in Boise, Idaho,

Berneice graduated from high school in Seattle, Wash. and promptly fell in love with Ralph Dean, who had just joined the U.S. Coast Guard. They were married 60 years and during that time lived in San Francisco, Calif.; Honolulu, Hawaii; Virginia, and Florida. When Ralph retired as a Captain, they choose Fallbrook, Calif., never dreaming 40 years would pass by.
