Conradene “Connie” Mae Lamb passed away on May 21, 2011 at her home in Hemet. She was born in Kewanna, Ind. on May 2, 1915. She attended North Central College in Naperville, Ill. from 1935 to 1938 and in 1950 graduated from Occidental College in California.
For 22 years she taught in the elementary schools of Bellflower and Vista. She opened three pre-schools, including those at the Downey Methodist Church, the Fallbrook Presbyterian Church and Headstart in Fallbrook.
In 1980 she and her husband Joe Lamb moved to Hemet, where she volunteered for 15 years in the Laubach Literacy Program.
Her body has been donated to the Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Connie is survived by her husband, Joe Lamb; stepdaughter, Larrie Jo Quint; stepson, Steve Lamb and his wife Katie; and grandchildren, Brian Danelson, Steve Lamb (Suzanne), Stephanie Schlesser, Sabrina Lamb, Susette Hill (Matt), Shelley Lamb, Stinson Lamb; and great-grandson Bradley Hill.
