Welk summer music festival features Freda Payne

ESCONDIDO – The Welk Resorts is proud to announce an exciting summer music festival under the stars featuring pop star Freda Payne on Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3. Most popular for her mega hit “Band of Gold” in the 70s, Payne will be performing in “A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald” at the Welk amphitheatre. The event is set on the golf greens beginning at 6:30 p.m. each day when the gates open for picnicking. Tickets are available at the box office.
