FALLBROOK – Water quality reports for the Fallbrook Public Utility District will begin appearing in all ratepayers’ mailboxes this week. The Consumer Confidence Report will be inserted inside the district’s “Pipeline” newsletter. The report is essentially FPUD’s report card, and it contains data regarding water quality for the year 2011. In includes details about where FPUD’s water comes from, what it contains, and how FPUD water compares to Environmental Protection Agency and state standards.
FPUD’s water met or exceeded all state and federal requirements.
All water retailers are required by the California Department of Health Services to provide an annual report to their customers showing water-quality test results. The test results are compared to the federal and state permitted maximum contaminant levels, or MCLs.
Extra copies of the report can be obtained at the district office, 990 E. Mission Road in Fallbrook. The report will also be available on the district’s website at www.fpud.com or by emailing Noelle Denke at [email protected] or calling (760) 728-1125.
