I had the best Father Day! I awoke at 6 a.m. with my 10-year-old son holding a cup of coffee. I wanted to sleep in, but the smile on his face would have made me sit through a Barney show.
I got up and headed for the living room where I was showered with gifts. We than had to clean the house since I took my son and wife to the Carrillo monument and Mt. Soledad the day before.
When it was time for dinner, my wife said we are going for a bike ride. With no idea what the destination was, I gladly agreed. We rode to Major Market and saw the crowd of people gathered around the front of the store. I was very happy to realize that “Fathers Day” dinner was going to be steak and lobster. All we needed were a few tortillas, a margarita, and a great sunset to finish off the day.
Thank you to Sam Logan, owner of Major Market, for helping me to have a great Father’s Day. I am looking forward to next year.
