Hazard reduction burns scheduled aboard Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - The Camp Pendleton Fire Department, along with CAL FIRE, will be conducting hazard reduction burns as part of live-fire training aboard the base, Friday, July 1, and Saturday, July 2.

The hazard reduction burns are scheduled to take place along Basilone Road in the northwestern portion of the base.

Communities surrounding the base may notice smoke clouds or smell smoke during the burn....
