PERRIS - A suspect in the killing of a Murrieta man last month has been arrested, the sheriff's department said today.
Deputies from the Perris sheriff's station located and detained Jorge Martinez, 42, of Homeland, at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to sheriff's Sgt. Michael Lujan.
Homicide investigators identified Martinez as a suspect in the killing of Sergio Corona, 47.
Corona's remains were found shortly after 2 p.m. June 20 in a planter behind a business in the 200 block of North D Street, near San Jacinto Avenue. There was no attempt to conceal the body.
