FALLBROOK – Shopkeepers charged one shekel to visit their shops last week as St. Peter the Apostle Parish was transformed into a marketplace in Nazareth from the time when Jesus was a kid. Over 90 children participated in the ‘Hometown Nazareth’ themed vacation Bible school during the week of July 11
through 15.
Ten shops were created which included carpentry, a synagogue school, pottery, and bead making among others. Volunteers dressed in character as the children traveled in small tribes visiting a different shop each day.
