Edna Carolyn Riedell

Edna Carolyn Riedell of Vista, beloved wife of William “Bill” Riedell, passed away July 16, 2011. Born in Long Beach to Carl O. and Myrtle Titchenal Wheat, Edna attended schools in Orange County, moving to Lake Tahoe in 1943, the same year she joined the WAVES. She served in Norman, Okla. until the end of the war.

Edna met Bill in Fullerton Junior College in 1946 and they were married June 6, 1948. With their first daughter, they moved to New York City in 1951 for Bill’s work as a commercial artist, residing in Pearl River, NY from 1956 to 1992. They raised four wonderful children.
