Guac Girls win Cal Cup pool, lose on strokes in semis

The Guac Girls, Fallbrook High School’s off-season field hockey team, won their pool in the Cal Cup tournament May 27 to 29 in Moorpark before losing their semifinal match in a penalty stroke shootout.

“They did amazing. They played very well,” said Guac Girls coach Kirstin Mueller.

The Guac Girls played without Jamie Garcia, who spent that weekend at field hockey’s Futures Development Invitational Camp in Washington, DC. During pool play the Guac Girls played five games, winning three and tying two.
