Fallbrook High School senior Justin Jones closed out his high school track and field career with a time of 1:55.54 in the boys 800-meter race at the CIF San Diego Section finals May 28 at Mount Carmel High School.
The time placed Jones third among runners from Division I schools, and fifth overall. Each event’s top three finishers in Division I and Division II combined qualified for the state meet. “He missed by a couple of seconds,” said Fallbrook head coach Troy Hamlin.
