Local troop travels on horseback

FALLBROOK – Twelve young men and three not-so-young Scout Masters from Troop 739 recently embarked on a nine day adventure. They started out at the Riverside train station and journeyed overnight to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM.

The Scout patrol then headed out on the trail with two experienced wranglers and traveled on horseback over 53 miles in five days. The Scouts trained for over a year preparing for this very special trip. They learned that with hard work and dedication they can accomplish and experience amazing things in this life.
