Wine & A Bite Aug. 20 features variety of food, wine, and art

FALLBROOK - Fallbrook has a unique flavor when it comes to local talent and the Chamber of Commerce’s Wine & A Bite event on August 20 will be a perfect place to display local restaurants and artists, as well as wineries.

The featured restaurants will be Santa Margarita Inn, featuring hand-tossed chicken Caesar salad with herb croutons and parmesan cheese; La Caseta serving a banana, carmel cheesecake chimichanga with powdered sugar, ice cream and raspberry drizzle; Brothers Bistro will serve Cajun chicken alfredo penne pasta with rosemary foccacia bread and Café Des Artiste will serve spanakopita and a Thai-inspired specialty dish.

Artists will include Jim Bates, with his watercolor paintings; Gayle Bamber featuring her glass jewelry; Brian Bateman, featuring landscapes and portrait work; Roger Chandler in the Village Square; and the Art Center will feature wildlife art. Music with Charles Carr in the Village Square will complete the fun.

Featured local wineries who have generously donated wine this month are: Los Willows Inn, Fallbrook Winery, PRP Wines and Mad Housewife.

Tickets are available on the Chamber website www.fallbrookchamberofcommerce.org or in the Chamber office.
