Phil Heyl Metzger

Phil Heyl Metzger passed away peacefully in his sleep Aug. 4, 2011. He was born in Oceanside on July 22, 1946 to Philip C. and Elsie Mae Metzger, both preceding him in death along with his older sisters Diane Alexander and Barbara Church, and brother Lin. Phil is survived by his wife, Kathleen Metzger of Oceanside; children Mathew of Bend, Ore., Jason of Murrieta, Vanessa of Hemet, and Jennifer of San Diego.
