Stine awarded $5,000 scholarship

FALLBROOK - On July 26, the Lloyd Ellis Griffin Scholarship Foundation awarded a $5,000 college scholarship to Emily Stine of the Fallbrook Assembly, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Stine will be attending college in Lincoln, Nebraska in the fall and is looking forward to continuing her education in horticulture.

In March, she was appointed by the Grand Assembly of California as grand drill leader and representative to New Mexico and Arizona.

Rainbow is an international service organization for girls ages 11 to 20 that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. Six assemblies exist within San Diego County and meet twice each month.
