Last Hot Summer Nite to feature fire trucks, military vehicles

FALLBROOK – Connections Fallbrook networking group concludes their Hot Summer Nites Series on Aug. 26 with a giant block party for the whole family held in historical downtown Fallbrook from 5 p.m. to sundown. It will be showcasing classic fire trucks, including the La France Fire Truck from the brass era, and for the first time Camp Pendleton Mechanized Museum will be displaying several pieces of vintage equipment and vehicles.

This night also serves to honor and show pride in local servicemen and women of the military forces, firefighters and law enforcement personnel. The “NiteRiders” will be playing live music in the Village Square and adults can enjoy beer from Stone Brewing Co. and wine from Mad Housewife Cellars. BBQ, hot dogs, burgers and refreshments will be available for purchase and several downtown merchants and restaurants will remain open.

Admission is free (no dogs, skateboards or bicycles allowed). Main Avenue will be closed from Fig to Ivy at 4.30 pm. Parking is available behind the Art Center and on side streets.
