RAMONA – On Sat., Aug. 27, a one-day event entitled Best Friends Neighborhood Pit Bull Day will be held at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center, 421 Aqua Lane, Ramona, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (rain or shine).
Fallbrook residents who own pit bulls are encouraged to come learn about free resources, products, micro-chipping, low cost vaccinations, education and services, and free or low cost spay/neuter vouchers. There will be “Ask a Trainer” and “Ask a Vet” booths at the event.
Organizers said, “We believe that through education and community engagement, we can defuse the negative stereotype of this misunderstood breed and help communities understand what loyal members of the family pit bulls can be.”
