One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President and nine Supreme Court justices are responsible for the problems plaguing this country of 300 million Americans. They spend their energy attempting to convince us the mess we’re in is not their fault; often times blaming each other, political appointees and/or bureaucrats who by the way they hired and could also fire, along with lobbyists whose gifts they accepted. This is common regardless of their party affiliation.
When you fully grasp those 545 individuals alone exercise the power of the federal government, one must believe what’s happening in this country is what they want to happen. If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it so. They extended the debt ceiling at the eleventh hour, subsequently our nation’s credit rating was downgraded resulting in the stock market dropping over 600 points in a single day and what did those senators/congressmen do. They all took a month off. Nice!
Their elite retirement plan is not available to the rest of us because they want it that way. Where’s the leadership, whatever happened to leading by example? On a weekly basis, you read about at least one of them committing some crime. Again, what happened to character traits, ethics and scruples?
It’s inconceivable a nation of 300 million cannot replace those 545 individuals who are incompetent and irresponsible. There are no insoluble government problems preventing them from doing what they took an oath to do!
